Alex Murawski is a screenwriter and director inspired by the hidden wounds of being human. His short films — KISS, ARI, and SNOW — have screened at nearly 100 film festivals, including TIFF and Berlinale, and have 7 million views online. He is mentored by Academy Award–nominated filmmaker Bruce Beresford.

His feature script Walking in Iowa has garnered numerous accolades, including a PAGE Award, Nicholl semifinalist recognition, and selection for the inaugural Black List Projects Lab. Most recently, the script won the Tony Cox Screenplay Competition at the Nantucket Film Festival, which led to his invitation to the Almanack Screenwriters 2025 Colony, where he developed the project during a month-long residency.
